NRS 503 - Nursing Assessment

This course is a hybrid course for the MSN-DE student. This course is offered in tandem with NRS 503L to build the basic skills needed by nurses. The foundational concepts of effective therapeutic communication, interviewing, health history, and physical assessment across the life span are discussed. The MSN-DE student is expected to accurately collect, organize, document and analyze health history and physical assessment data, as well as the ability to recognize and promote adaptive human responses at the end of this course.
