NRS 538 - Nursing and Medical/Surgical Care 2 2 Hour(s)
This course is a hybrid course for the MSN-DE student. This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the effects of selected physiologic problems on adults in inpatient care settings and the relevant nursing interventions to care for those problems. Content focus will be selected systems and the care necessary to address the health concern and the human response to the concern. The content explores ways to promote physical and emotional health in the ill individual, across the adult lifespan, through a partnership with the patient and the patient’s support system. This course also prepares the MSN-DE student to develop a personal nursing identity that is in alignment with the core values and professional standards of nursing.
