PTH 5416 - Therapeutic Exercise

This course presents foundational knowledge of therapeutic exercise for the purpose of improving neuromusculoskeletal impairments and function. Areas covered include exercises for improved mobility, muscle performance, balance, and function. Safety, communication and modifying exercises for patient/client needs related to therapeutic exercise interventions are emphasized. Implementing exercise principles to modes of exercise will be applied to posture, stability, post-op management, neural mobility activities, resistance exercise, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), aquatic exercise and developing home exercise programs (HEP).
