PBH 315 - Environmental and Occupational Health 4 Hour(s) This course is designed to explore how physical place influences our health. Through the key areas of occupational and environmental health, students gain an understanding of the interaction of individuals and communities with the environment. Students will explore the enforcement of laws that regulate environmental and occupational safety and health, physical and psychological hazards, and the roles of individuals, employers, public health professionals, and community leaders in today’s world. Students will be introduced to community-based leadership and leadership processes. The course will consist of a series of class discussions and activities which will cover principles derived from core environmental health disciplines.
Prerequisite(s): PBH 101 and PBH 102 and PBH 210 and PBH 211
