BHP 580 - Substance Use Disorders Diagnosis & Treatment

This course examines and prepares students to conceptualize, diagnose, and treat individuals with substance use disorders in diverse client populations with an emphasis on the identification, treatment, and prevention of addiction. Using DSM-V criteria for diagnoses of substance use disorders, students develop the skills to identify and develop a treatment plan reflecting evidence-based practices and respecting the history, diversity, and unique circumstances of individuals.
