NRS 503L - Nursing Assessment Lab

This course is a hybrid laboratory course for the DE MSN student. This laboratory course is offered in tandem with NRS 503 to build the basic skills needed by nurses. The foundational concepts of effective therapeutic communication, interviewing, health history, and physical assessment across the life span are demonstrated and practiced. The DE MSN student is expected to develop these skills and incorporate them into a holistic assessment. The lab experience will also focus on foundational nursing skills of personal hygiene.
