Project Management (PM) is increasingly important in today’s business environment. This course covers the fundamental concepts and applied techniques for effective management of projects that vary in length and complexity. The curriculum follows the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) guidance using skills within the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Content includes planning, scheduling, organizing, and controlling projects as it relates to the technical and behavior aspects of a project. In addition, tools and methods regarding strategy and continuous improvement of projects in manufacturing and healthcare industries will be discussed. Course content will prepare students to pursue the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
