Students engage in brainstorming exercises, research, concept development, and experimentation to develop a foundational body of work. The course emphasizes creative risk-taking, ideation, and iteration of project solutions. Students translate ideas into visual forms through a variety of methods, technologies, and materials while embracing stages of uncertainty, testing, and discovery. Exercises, critical discussions, and complex projects enhance the student’s ability to comprehensively pursue creative interests and curiosities.
