OTH 563 - Interventions in Pediatric & Developmental Dysfunction I

This course will introduce the role and function of occupational therapy with pediatric populations and settings through the use of theories and models. Typical and atypical development of the child from birth through adolescence will be examined through evaluation and assessment. Evidence-based evaluation and screening, and intervention planning for dysfunction and health promotion are emphasized throughout the occupational therapy process and within the scope of occupational therapy practice. Critical reasoning will be utilized through documentation of evaluation and assessment findings.
