BHP 690 - Internship

Supervised fieldwork in a clinical setting over two consecutive semesters. Efforts are made to place students in settings aligned with their professional goals. The development of greater autonomy in all facets of clinical practice is emphasized. Weekly individual and group supervision are provided by a licensed mental health professional. Students are expected to log a minimum of 600 internship hours, at least 240 of which include direct client contact. Each week, an average of one hour is spent in 1-on-1 supervision and 1.5 hours in group supervision.

Prerequisite(s): BHP570 Practicum, BHP560 Theories of Behavior Change, BHP530 Ethical and Professional Issues in Psychology, BHP515 Advanced Social and Multicultural Psychology (Ethical and Professional Issues can be taken concurrently)
