BHP 600 - Case Management and Treatment Planning for Clinicians

Models of case management are presented with the emphasis on the biopsychosocial model application to long-term, neuropsychiatric patient care. Topics include patient engagement, assessment, treatment planning, integration with community resources, collaboration with other treatment providers, patient psychoeducation, and crisis intervention. Interviewing and diagnostic competencies developed in Psychopathology and Diagnosis and Advanced Interviewing are applied to the development of differential diagnosis on complex clinical cases.

Prerequisite(s): BHP520 Pre-Practicum: Advanced Interviewing, BHP510 Lifespan Psychology; BHP515 Advanced Social Psychology, BHP575 Psychological Appraisal, BHP521 Psychopathology and Diagnosis (Psychopathology and Diagnosis can be taken concurrently)
