Our Drone Engineering major will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to become an industry leader in a variety of drone-related fields, including small drone piloting, integrated sensors, autonomous navigation systems and data analytics. This 94-credit-hour program delivers hands-on, interactive learning, immersing you in aerial and submersible technologies as you cultivate new skills and strengthen your academic portfolio. The major will provide a start-to-finish implementation experience, working on real-world projects from the early planning process to the long-term management and analysis stages.
Program Outcomes:
Upon graduation, an Drone Engineering major will be able to:
- Apply the principles of engineering and physics to the design and development of
drone systems.
- Collaborate eNectively in teams to analyze, design, and implement technical
solutions within the context of drone systems.
- Solve complex engineering and mathematical problems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in commercial drone operations, data collection and data
visualization.
- Understand the global, economic, environmental, and societal impact of drone
systems, artificial intelligence, and aviation contemporary research methodologies
- Understand drone systems within a regulatory and ethical framework.
