NRS 506 - Seminar in Professional Nursing

This course is a hybrid course for the RN->MSN student. This is the first course in the RN->MSN Emphasis. It is designed to acquaint the student with the graduate professional nursing role. The foundational concepts, scientific basis and theoretical constructs of graduate nursing will be discussed. RN->MSN students will explore evidence-based practice is the cornerstone of professional nursing practice. Graduate level composition and writing skills will be developed. This course exposes students to the skills necessary to be successful in a graduate nursing program.
