CHE 323 - Chemical Thermodynamics 2 Hour(s) This is one of four 2-credit physical chemistry courses that may be taken in any order. CHE323 introduces the principles of physical chemistry, focusing on thermodynamics and chemical equilibrium. Thermodynamic principles will be applied to chemical reactions to determine foundational parameters including enthalpy, entropy and free energy. These will be used to learn about the final chemical state of a system referred to as Equilibrium. This lecture course meets during the second-half of the semester, and must be taken with the associated laboratory (CHE323L), which incorporates modern instrumental design and data analysis.
FA Prerequisite(s): CHE 203 /CHE 203L , MAT 160 , PHY 102 /PHY 102L OR PHY 204 /PHY 204L Corequisite: CHE 323L
