NRS 2311 - Health Assessment

For the nurse to understand a patient’s needs and problems, they must be able to perform a thorough physical exam and health assessment. This course introduces the student to therapeutic communication, interviewing techniques, components of a health history, and physical assessment skills, focusing on adults and older adults. Through classroom and supervised laboratory practice, students will develop the cognitive and psychomotor skills required to perform systematic and accurate health assessments and physical examinations.
