Business Economics Major

Students who major in Business Economics complete coursework in all of the functional areas of business and then specialize in economics by taking upper division courses. Students in this major will use quantitative skills and economic theory to analyze varying economic problems. Business Economics prepares students for careers in both the private and public sectors of our economy.

 

Total Credits Required: 64 Credits 

Upper Level (300 & 400) ECO Electives (20 Credits)


The following courses are the upper level (300 & 400) ECO courses offered at Carroll University. Students must take 20 elective credits. ***Transfer 300 & 400 ECO courses will be accepted provided the courses have been approved by completing the Transfer Credit Approval form.

CMP 112  and CMP 114  satisfy the Bachelor of Science requirement. Students can also take BUS 114  in place of CMP114. BUS 114  will satisfy the CMP 114  requirement for the major and CMP 112  and BUS 114  satisfy the Bachelor of Science requirement.

The majors offered by the Sullivan School of Business and Technology are Accounting, Aviation Science and Drone Technologies, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Business Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Management and Leadership, and Marketing.

Students can typically double major in any two majors offered within the Sullivan School of Business and Technology.   However, the following double major combinations are not allowed:
