PHA 5520 - Surgery 3 Hour(s)
An introduction to the role of the physician assistant (athletic trainer for MSAT Program) in surgery and surgical procedures commonly performed. The course employs a system-oriented, problem-based approach and clinical information is presented in conjunction with appropriate, correlative lectures in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and nutrition.
FA-MSAT Program; SP-MSPAS Program Prerequisite(s):
MSAT: Good standing in the Master of Science of Athletic Training Program
MSPAS: Successful completion of all courses in the winter term
