HSC 6530 - Interprofessional Education Experience (IPE ) I 1 Hour(s)
This course builds upon the core competencies of interprofessional education (IPE) and collaborative practice. This course provides an interprofessional practice (IPP) learning experience in which students are organized into IPP teams to consider integrative health (IH) and wellness care for individuals or populations within the community. Students will develop interprofessional core competencies during team-based and client-centered activities. The IPP learning experiences are designed to familiarize students with the clinical setting with exposure to traditional, nontraditional, and emerging areas of practice, using an interprofessional framework of patient care. Students receive exposure to the health care system and service delivery with consideration for health literacy, socio-cultural and psychosocial implications for practice.
