BHP 690 - Internship I 3 Hour(s)
Supervised fieldwork in a clinical setting over two consecutive semesters (BHP 690 and BHP 700). BHP 690 will precede BHP 700. Efforts are made to place students in settings aligned with their professional goals. Development of greater autonomy in all facets for clinical practice is emphasized. An average of one hour/week of individual or triadic supervision is provided by a licensed on-site supervisor, and an average of 1.5 hours/week of group supervision is provided on a regular schedule by a licensed BHP faculty member. Students’ counseling performance is evaluated throughout the semester. Students are expected to log a minimum of 600 total internship hours, at least 240 of which include direct client contact. These hours must be acquired over the course of both “Internship I” and “Internship II.”
