The Pre-Occupational Therapy emphasis is designed for students looking to apply to Carroll’s Master of Occupational Therapy Program. In order to earn the emphasis at Carroll University, pre-health students must complete the courses associated with the track. These courses will satisfy prerequisite requirements for Carroll’s MOT Program as well as those required for admission to most professional/graduate schools in that field. As these requirements vary by school, it is the student’s responsibility to be aware of specific program requirements and to consult with a pre-health advisor for guidance. Additional prerequisite course requirements may exist.
Pre-requisite courses for many Occupational Therapy Programs include:
Anatomy and Physiology with Lab (2 semesters), Statistics (1 semester), Psychology (1 semester each: Introductory, Abnormal, Lifespan), Cultural Anthropology or Sociology (1 semester), Medical Terminology (1 semester), Chemistry (1 semester), Physics (1 semester).
