MAT 106 - Mathematics for the Liberal Arts 4 Hour(s) This elementary course in contemporary mathematics introduces the Bachelor of Arts student to the usefulness of mathematics. Real current-day problems are presented along with some of the mathematics techniques which have been used to solve them. Problems discussed will involve such topics as ‘the traveling salesman problem,’ exponential growth, voting systems, analysis of arguments and fractal geometry.
