NRS 316 - Introduction to Medical Surgical Nursing 4 Hour(s) This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the effects of selected physiologic problems on adults in inpatient care settings and the relevant nursing interventions to care for those problems. The content explores ways to promote physical and emotional health in the ill individual, across the adult lifespan, through a partnership with the patient and the patient’s support system.
