In order to earn the emphasis at Carroll University, pre-health students must complete the four courses associated with the track. These courses will satisfy some prerequisite requirements for admission to most professional/graduate schools in that area. As these requirements vary by school, it is the student’s responsibility to be aware of specific program requirements and to consult with a pre-health advisor for guidance. Additional prerequisite course requirements may exist.
Pre-requisite courses for many Physician Assistant Programs include*:
General Biology with Lab and/or Anatomy and Physiology with Lab (2-4 semesters), Microbiology (1 semester), General Chemistry with Lab (2 semesters), Organic Chemistry with Lab (1-2 semesters), Biochemistry (1 semester), Psychology (1-2 semesters), Statistics (1 semester) and various humanities/social sciences.
More information specific to Carroll University’s Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies program can be found in the graduate catalog.
