BHP 580 - Substance Abuse Diagnosis and Treatment 3 Hour(s)
This course examines and prepares students to conceptualize, diagnose, and treat individuals with substance use disorders in diverse client populations. Using DSM-V criteria for diagnoses of substance use disorders, students develop the skills to identify and develop a treatment plan reflecting empirically-based practices and respecting the history, diversity, and unique circumstances of individuals.
Lecture Prerequisite(s): BHP 520 Pre-Practicum: Advanced Interviewing, BHP 560 Theories of Behavior and Change, BHP 510 Lifespan Psychology, BHP 515 Advanced Social and Multicultural Psychology
