BHP 700 - Internship II

Supervised fieldwork in a clinical setting over two consecutive semesters (BHP 690 and BHP 700). BHP 700 will succeed BHP 690. Efforts are made to place students in settings aligned with their professional goals. Continued development of clinical skills gained in BHP 690, including greater autonomy in all facets of clinical practice, is emphasized. An average of one hour/week of individual or triadic supervision is provided by a licensed on-site supervisor, and an average of 1.5 hours/week of group supervision is provided on a regular schedule by a licensed BHP faculty member. Students’ counseling performance is evaluated throughout the semester. Students are expected to log a minimum of 600 total internship hours, at least 240 of which include direct client contact. These hours must be acquired over the course of both “Internship I” and “Internship II.”
